Is there any chance that this issue will be resolved before the release of the new Homey Pro (early 2023) hardware?

I am heavily dependent on this great app on my current Homey Pro.

Unlikely. But also not an issue as far as I can tell. I checked the Homey apps documentation and I couldn't find anything about an end date for Apps SDK 2, so it should just work on the new Homey.

There's probably no end date for that SDK running on existing hardware. But the app needs to be updated to work on the new Homey Pro being released in (hopefully) a short time.

Taken from the latest update from Athom found here:

The fine print here is the exception of any apps still using SDK v2 at time of migration. However, once such an app has been updated to SDK v3, you can then install the app, and your previous settings will still be there.

I've looked into this, but the changes required for SDK 3 are major. Since I don't use this app myself anymore, since most of the use cases for this app can now be done with variables and advanced flows, and since this app will only ever work for Homey Pro, not the cloud based Homey, I'm not going to put time or effort into upgrading the app.

I'm definitely sad about it, but it's just not worth my time.

If someone else wants to take over maintenance of this repository to upgrade it to SDK 3, I can transfer it to them.
