This webinar could provide a walkthrough of key elements of both the file level metadata and CSV reporting formats since they are the building blocks of other reporting formats. Presenters can highlight the steps necessary for submitting 'complete' FLMD/CSV files (e.g., FLMD, Data Dictionary and formatted CSV files).

Relationship to ESS-DIVE?

Many data packages uploaded to ESS-DIVE will make use of both FLMD and CSV reporting formats. This webinar can provide an introduction to the formats, and provide practical tips for data contributors.

Intended audience:

• Data contributors to provide guidance for formatting their data files
• Data users who will be assimilating data in these formats
• General researchers who format their data in CSV files

Possible speakers

• Terri as one of the format developers
• Kim or other NGEE team members who recently used both formats for their own data files
