Hi team magpie,
First of all, your report is well logically structured, clear and detailed. And Your first three questions not only illustrate the problems themselves, but also further explain what information can be obtained through these questions, which is very good, so that readers can remember the focus and direction of this analysis. But I notice the last four questions didn't have this type of explanation. If they had, it will be better. It is worth mentioning that you apply the animation line graph, which shows the changing trend more vividly. And the best thing I learned from your analysis is the way you present some explanations in your fig caption, next time I will apply this in my own report to get improvements. 👍
However, there are also some aspects I would recommend to you, hope will be helpful:
Firstly, about the structure, question 1 and question 4 maybe can be put together, for they are all about the difference of fees in different institutions, courses and years, which intends to give a point of view of the American education system.
Secondly, in question 5.2, I think since the purpose of this question is to study the burden of education on students, it is better to calculate the proportion of education expenses in the total income of different income groups. By comparing the proportion of tuition without scholarship with that of education after receiving scholarship, we can comprehensively judge whether American higher education is a great burden for students.
Thirdly, about Fig 5.9 and Fig 5.10, it is better to have tags on each group to show the specific number of proportion.
Finally, hope you can represent more statistical summary or numbers in the text with using inline R code , for most content in your analysis is more like story behind the graph or story behind the number. If numbers are displayed in the content to bring us a more straight-forward impression of the question, i think it's better.
Overall, you guys did a really great job in analyzing Education System in the US. I love the way you explore your questions in such a logical and visual appealing way. 👏
