yay has released a new version. this means, i can activate the "info preview" for it. i will do this tomorrow.
wget -P "/tmp/aur/" "https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.gz" &>/dev/null && mv /tmp/aur/packages.gz /tmp/aur/packages does NOT work on my system. it simply downloads the compressed file of AUR package names and renames it. when i do "cat /tmp/aur/packages" i can only see messed up data and no clear file names.
get -P "/tmp/aur/" "https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.gz" &>/dev/null && gunzip -f "/tmp/aur/packages.gz" works on my system (with zsh and bash). does it also work for you?
