I'm on macOS Mojave.

I just tried installing ExoKit for the first time, downloaded the DMG from get.webmr.io, opened the DMG and saw this:

When I tried to open it, it said

You can’t open the application “Exokit” because it may be damaged or incomplete.

Looking forward to trying ExoKit!

Oh, I've read about this one! I believe it's a right click problem on mac! try right clicking, then opening?
