Running into a few problems while implementing this (mainly in Chrome, works great in FF) and I'm curious if the developer is still working on this at all.

Mithgol commented 10 years ago

The developer seems relatively active, but it's not like it's some daily activity.

The last commit developer's happened three months ago and fixed an issue (#6) that remained open for three days.

If I were you, I won't wait for another three days until “I'm here” appears. You'd already open a bug report, or a pull request, or whatever is caused by the problems that you encountered in Chrome.

Hi, the project I originally created this plugin for has moved on to an entirely different design, so you could say that this is not being "actively" worked on at the moment. I do check here every other day to see if there are any bugs reported though.

I'd happy to help fix the issues you're facing in chrome. What versions of chrome and jquery are you using? Are you using any plugins that could be interfering?

This is AMAZING, and exactly what I was looking for. You mentioned this plugin has moved on to a different design? Is that one more recently and does it include the same functionality? If so, where can I find it?

hybridwebdev commented 7 years ago

I know this is licensed under free for use licensing, but I am planning on using this plugin for a commercial product and would love to get in touch with the author out of respect.

kmob2 commented 7 years ago

I see the project is distributed under the MIT license.

@kmob2 i use this code mainly to help my peers see how you can hide data in javascript classes using closures, sort of an analogy to 'private' members in ood. The newer design is more permissible but delivers the exact same functionality, which i why i never put it online. if you think it will be worth your while to go through it, I'm happy to set aside some time this weekend to clean it up and push it an another branch.

hybridwebdev commented 7 years ago

I for one would love to see an updated version that I can use with permission of course

f0r4y312 commented 7 years ago

@hybridwebdev I love to see my work in use. All my projects in github are completely free, although some are MIT and some others are Apache 2.0 licensed. You can always reach me here, or at vimal.aravindashan@gmail.com. Feel free to use it in your project; if you have any bug fixes, please do share. I'd love to hear more about your project, now or once it is live, whenever it fits you best to share the info.

@hybridwebdev I will clean it up and push over this weekend

hybridwebdev commented 6 years ago

Hey, I encountered another bug but don't see a point in submitting a ticket since plugin hasn't been updated in ages. Any chance of getting that new push you promised in march? :)
