The project’s team are involved in a number of other open source FPGA projects, which gives them the opportunity to test the tools in real-life scenarios, and enables FPGA developers to use ready, end-to-end solutions.

Thanks to the close collaboration between SymbiFlow and other projects we are able to create fully open source tools and reliable frameworks for FPGA development, from simple bare-metal applications to complicated SoC designs that are capable of running mature operating systems. The open source ecosystem also gives the open source FPGA community a unique chance to come together and push the boundaries of various fields.

The main point of this task is to present the relationships between the projects supported by SymbiFlow, with the emphasis on the collaborative aspect.

The ecosystem map should provide comprehensive information about the open FPGA ecosystem and how it can be leveraged in commercial and hobbyist projects.
