General discussion of this functionality

Hi, just came here from https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/issues/2043 , I'd like to say I like the idea (that's why I searched for it) and it would be nice if it could be implemented in some form that makes it easy to use:

• Userscripts became a bit out of fashion imo, have you tried/considered to implement this as bookmarklet? (Or as a really small webservice of its own?)
• Having this as an OsmAnd feature or plugin would be dope, not sure how much work that would be but I might even start hacking on it. (Let me know if you know about any such attempts or have any insight into this.)

Of course I would be interested to hear in case you know of any other app implementing this, but I doubt there is any.
