How I get my best work done:

I like to take a moment to process the given task and decide how I might want to tackle it. But once I've had a chance to process, I find it helpful to discuss aloud what I am thinking.
Once I have an idea of what to do, I need quiet to focus on my task.
I have trouble focusing on multiple things at once. This means:
- If people are speaking in a group around me, I may need to listen to music to be able to focus on what I'm doing. However, I don't mind if you need to talk to me - just try again if you don't get my attention immediately.
- When I am focusing on reading or coding, I may not notice when you try to get my attention or talk to me. Please try to get my attention again if you need it.

I can take a variety of roles and usually try to adapt depending on group needs
I'm not super confident at public speaking but I can help drive decisions
I like to understand where people are coming from, so will often ask a lot of questions

I like direct communication and honesty.
I like to speak aloud to help me process.
If there are any issues, I prefer to talk them over when they happen, rather than bottle them up.

When I ask questions, people might assume I'm questioning your decision-making. I'm not - I'm trying to understand your thought process, to better work with you
It takes me a while to get to my point so the first thing I say might not be what I mean - I'd appreciate if you can give me time to finish my point without interrupting me

I prefer feedback written down so I can take time to process it
If there's something I can fix quickly, I don't mind if you tell me face-to-face
