Interface freezing on scratch events #56

Hi, i'm using the last image available and i have installed the update mixxx apk from daily pipeline build.

I have a raspberry 4 4gb ram, music played from usb3 stick drive (tried with internal sdcard first). 2 decks, easy waveform (gl), tried even to disable waveforms

As title say: the interface freeze for a while when there is a scratch event ongoing.

Tried even the overclock params suggested in boot/config.txt

Any hint? Or is it a normal behavior? I tought it was enough powered to run

turned out the Late Night skin is too heavy to be handled for the raspberry 4 (4gb). sounds weird but that's it

You can check if the performance is still bad with the latest Mixxx.

You can grab the image (or just the deb if you want to install the latest version on an already running image) here: https://github.com/fayaaz/mixxx-pi-gen/actions/runs/4199985949 in the artifacts section.

If it is it may be worth submitting an issue with Mixxx. Thanks for reporting this anyway.

same performance even on lastest build.

runs better using the tango skin anyway

I had some freezing issues. Pi 4b. I disabled the overclocking it isn't necessary for the 4b and can actually degrade performance. I also had some issues with display drivers, disabling the kernel mode and specifying the kms be 4pi seemed to clear that up and I haven't had any issues since. I think the different drivers can make a difference in performance whether rendering is done by the kernel or firmware.
