PNG transparency in IE7 & IE8 #84

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Hello, I'm using TimThumb with the Arras theme for a site in development
you can see here: http://dev.salumierecesario.com

I'm using PNGs with a transparency behind the main product images, so the
background behind it shows through. All is fine except for the PNG
transparency isn't working on IE7 & IE8. Any suggestions?

I also tried using JPGs with the background in it, and the timthumb script
changed the images to PNGs so there ended up being a color difference,
which didn't work since you could see the outline of the image.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see a transparancy with PNGs, but see a gray background with
black borders around the image.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Attached is the source file I'm using.

Please provide any additional information below.

I took the development site down, as the site is now launched. You can see it at
http://www.salumierecesario.com. We modified the design of the slideshow images
so no
transparencies were needed. I would still like to know however if this can be
done.
Any recommendations are appreciated.

Regards,
Carrie
