Seems like nvm does not do that for us and things like the coffee cli doesnt get picked up

Hum... I was manually reproducing the steps done on the plugin while trying things out on the new vagrant-cachier version and I might have done something wrong. I'll give it a go again when I have a chance and will report back :)
