I took this test, and my USB key only blinks when I try to reproduce what you wrote, my USB key only blinks when Files recognizes it, when I go on it, and when I select one or more file(s).
@Torguen is this still an issue in v2.4.70?

This is still happening in v2.4.70.
I have files closed. I insert the usb drive. Windows does a brief acknowledgment, the drive flashes, and in 3 seconds it shuts down. I wait 10 seconds and the unit doesn't look active, all ok. Now I open Files. The USB drive starts flashing and never stops.
I have to say that my USB drive looks like this. For some reason it indicates two letters J and K. Only letter J can be accessed, letter K indicates access error, sector not found. This is for something related to installing retroarch on the usb drive. Maybe it has something to do with it and Files tries infinitely to access drive K which is not accessible?
That's a good call, it's probably failing to access the drive and getting stuck in a loop where it keeps retrying.
Description
When I insert a usb stick into my computer and have Files open, the stick is constantly blinking, it will never stop blinking. If I close Files and wait a while, then I put my stick in and this doesn't happen.
Files endlessly accesses the usb stick, why?.
