I had this problem since always and apparently this is very common on Arch
linux.

mon0 is enabled and I am using RTL8187 card.
This is what happens:

# wash -i mon0

Wash v1.4 WiFi Protected Setup Scan Tool

wash instantly quits back to prompt, returns no error or anything. I have to
use Backtrack virtual machine to be able to run it.

Why is this so and why the problem is still there since over half a year? I am
not the first person with that problem, it is quite common on Arch linux and no
one found solution to it yet.

According to the post No. 20 on
https://code.google.com/p/reaver-wps/issues/detail?id=217 , you may have a
newer version of libpcap.
Try downgrading libpcap.

I know it is difficult to downgrade something on ArchLinux. I am finding
solutions too.
