I always get the error "image could not be written completely" or something not really saying anything.
When unmounting the usb stick, for example in KDE-Partitionmanager, and trying again, it works!
So as you use udisks2, maybe implement this first, to unmount any mounted filesystems on that usb stick?
This error happens if there is an already written usb stick, where the filesystem is automatically mounted in Dolphin for example.
