Fonts do not support indian languages #287

I use Kodi from the flatpak and am trying to get it to correctly show Indian scripts. I installed noto fonts of my system and in Kodi I chose "Based on Arial" font option, because in the past that had work to fix this.

But with the flatpak I still get squares instead of Hindi chars in movies title and descriptions.

Is there anyway to fix that?

You can install noto into the flatpak - I guess that should work, but I've never done that.

In general flatpak apps have access to all system fonts.
