Do we really need the (novel) abbreviation FACF, especially in the abstract?

Abbreviations make papers less readable. This is especially problematic in the abstract. I would recommend trying to avoid the use of FACF at least in the abstract. I think the A part in particular is not necessary – it’s not like we are analyzing every autotrophic carbon flux either, so why not just forest carbon fluxes? At least try rewriting the abstract without using FACF – sometimes it can be replaced simply with “fluxes”, considering the context, so this need not increase the word count too much.
