Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create new notebook
2. Open a notebook using FILE > Open Notebook
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Opening of notebook.

The program hangs then opens the notebook TWICE. resulting in a double
notebook. If you close one, both close.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

0.7.1
Vista

This step can be repeated. the first way is currently unknown to me, but I
somehow think it has to do with deleting child pages or parent pages.???

The second way to repeat this bug is if I FILE > OPEN > the same Notebook

Once you Close the notebook and reopen it, it will open with 2 notebooks
instead of one. If you open the same notebook again, a third one will appear,
and so on.

You seem to have opened multiple tabs for the same notebook. This is a useful
feature for very large notebooks, where you can view different parts of the
notebook at once. Tabs remembered when you close a notebook. That is why you
get two tabs whenever you open the notebook. Use "Window > Close Tab" or
Ctrl+W to close a tab.

Does this address your issue? Or is there some other misbehavior?

This was not intentional. If I try to close the notebook, both of them close.
And If I try to reopen the notebook, 2 instances of the same notebook appear

Yes. closing a notebook ("File > Close Notebook") closes all of its tabs. Use
"Window > Close Tab" to close only one of them.
