Autosave – Option “save-on-exit-notepad++” #24

Hello, first of all, I would like to thank you for providing this plugin.

I wanted to ask you, if there is a possibility to include a new option "save-on-exit-notepad++" to save the documents when closing Notepad++.

Thank you.

It's a good idea, please try the new version 2.00. Note that due to major rework a lot of features have been removed https://github.com/francostellari/NppPlugins/tree/main/AutoSave

Hi, thank you very much, but how do I update it? Notepad++ was telling me that I had version 1.6.1 installed, and in the "plugins" folder there is only the "config" folder.

Inside the "plugins" folder, I created the "AutoSave" folder and copied the "AutoSave.dll" file inside.

I see again the plugins that I have installed in Notepad++, and it continues saying that I have installed version 1.6.1.

Edited: That's it, now it does show the correct version. I leave the previous comment, in case someone encounters the same problem, I have read from a web page the update instructions, and they say that you have to copy the DLL file in that folder, but I think those instructions are wrong.

I have copied the DLL file to the folder: C:\Program Files\Notepad++\plugins\AutoSave.

And now it does show the correct version.

I need to find where your plugins are already installed and replace the file that you already have. If you created a new folder you probably did so in the wrong place. Assuming that you have a recent version of N++ you can use the menu: Plugins -> Open Plugins Folder...
