x360ce.exe crashes upon trying to close it. #631

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start x360ce.exe
2.close x360ce.exe
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is software exiting. But instead it goes into non-responsive
mode and has to be manually terminated with Task Manager.
I also hear a "ping" sound every time I start the program and the "Reloads:"
count shows "1".

What versions of x360ce and Windows are you using?
2.1.2.191 Beta 2. Windows 7 Ultimate edition

What gamepad do you use? On what drivers version?
Logitech Rumblepad 2. Driver 5.10.127

Please attach a log file created with Log=1 setting in x360ce.ini file.
It won't produce a logfile no matter what I do.
Also make sure you use latest x360ce libraries !

The hanging is probably caused by library of the xinput1_3.dll 3.4.0.584 or
3.4.0.642 & I also tried library with the latest 3.4.0.732. Starting x360ce for
the first time with the latest library 3.4.0.732 the rumblepad is not
recognize and then the x360ce.exe close properly.

I have the same issue with the game GTA4 with the library the game hangs after
closing and without is quit properly and I return to windows 8.

What versions of x360ce and Windows are you using?
2.1.2.191 Beta 2,xinput1_3.dll: 3.4.0.642, Windows 8

What gamepad do you use? On what drivers version?
Logitech Rumblepad 1 (not 2). Driver 5.02.116

Sorry no log here too, only x360ce.ini

(I use Ctrl+alt+del to kill (gamepad works great with GTA4!!, thank you)

Seems VS2012 Update 3 could resolve some problems, even MS replaced Update 1
Redist package with Update 3.

Update 3 is mainly to fix an AFC issue microsoft introduced in update 2 for
v110_xp

The crash is actually occuring in the setup utility rather than the dll, the
massive amount of profiles for some controls is leading to a stack overflow.

The crash in GTA4 is coming from GFWL installed from the disk/redists instead
of from the GFWL website.

"Starting x360ce for the first time with the latest library 3.4.0.732 the
rumblepad is not recognize and then the x360ce.exe close properly."

732 requires VC 2010 Redist, sort of made obvious by the file name.

hi there,

i have exactly the same problem with newest x360ce 2.1.2.191 Beta 2 it crashes
everytime on closing it, i have win vista sp2 all windows updates, an older
x360ce version works without any problems but i have issues with mark of the
ninja with older x360ce version, every button works fine ingame BUT if i check
out the ingame "map menu" i cant zoom in/out the map, this works with the
newest x360ce but the newest x360ce version have another new issue with mark of
the ninja, in the normal game menu if i press down it jumps always 2 times
instantly, as example i press one time down it jumps in the menu from "play
game" directly to "Best lists" and skips "achievements" menu, i have a logitech
rumble pad 2 with newest drivers, i rly dont know how to fix the x360ce crash
at closing the tool + the issue with the game Mark of the Ninja ;(

Happens here as well using ver 2.1.2.191 (with x360ce Library 32bit 3.3.1.584)
, as well as the latest r848 libraries from the download page. Note that if I
select Passthrough, it will exit properly, however the device shows up as red
and cannot be used in games. No logfiles are saved.

I've tried out some older builds and 2.1.2.190 (with x360ce Library 32bit
3.3.1.540) works properly. No hangups on exiting, and I can use my device for
xinput games properly.

Up to date Win7 x64 using a wired x360 pad with Masahiko Morii directinput
drivers.
