Philmel: Wave AP philmel <-> AK36 #105

Location: Philmel aka Phillipp Melanchton Kirche

Use: For the entire Network.

The Link between AK36 Gateway and Philmel Church is suffering a lot of loss in bandwith due to noise on the 5GHz Band and the long distance of the link between the two sites.

Replacing them with 60GHz would it make reliable again. Placing a Wave AP on Philmel would make the site more attractive to connect to too for other community locations.

The counterpart Dish (AF 60 LR) already exists from a previous installation and must be redeployed on AK36 for this link.

This setup would also complete the rennewal of Philmel by replacing bad links between the locations.

Is it possible to use an AF60LR on Philmel site?

I actually suport the request if it results in a more reliable link. Right now we only have one uplink at the church and the 60GHz link is a bit unreliable in rainy conditions. Not sure if the new link would perform much better.
