not a forum and not a blog, just sort of a mess of a mashup. there are many polished headless CMSes and "jamstack" options for us now, some of which can use github login auth, so imo let's not bother with this.

i tossed in utterances because it adds a nice-to-have enhancement to any given static site generator website while reinforcing the value of the team being unified on github. if we run into problems with it, we can easily live without it and the site doesn't have to change. also, it has a privacy policy and deleting comments can be done via the respective issues.
