Yea, I figured that once its properly read and saved that there's no need to show the PC and CRC. This is something I'm going to add to my todos for the holidays. The chip makes sure that the data was written successfully and sends a success response. Unless I'm missing something this sounds like a UI change for convenience đź‘Ť. Showing every information on a little screen is quite a challenge but i'll come up with some new layout. Or if you have suggestions feel free to send out some picture.
I’ll see what I can do about the ui I so we can have more content. For the manufacturer it’s useful because some readers reject reading cards if it’s different manufacturer.
So a use case would be as follows: I see that scanned card is NXP, then order blank nxp cards and write my copied data to them. Also knowing who made the card can automatically turn features on/ off . For example not all card types have kill password etc
Working on this now :)
Thanks for making this great app, it works great, just a minor suggestion:
- When I read a tag it shows PC ,CRC, EPC but not TID or USER
- When I load a saved tag it shows EPC, TID, USER but not PC or CRC.
Is it possible to show all the fields for when tag is just read and when it's loaded from the save file? This is useful for when I need to check if the writing was successful. For example, if I write TID (I have a tag that's unlocked) I can't check to see if it was written correctly until I save my tag.
Also would be awesome to show the type of card that was scanned based on TID. I this list here covers most of the popular cards https://www.dipolerfid.com/rfid-blog/types-of-rfid-chips
I was about to suggest the same thing. just wondering where can I get UHF cards with unlocked TID? and does the app modify that as well?
You can get them on Aliexpress
