Would be good to have a choice between them so they won't overlap, choice to overlap for those who want it and choice to turn these features off completely
I want to add on this topic. This picture is taken from the Google Play Store page. Said picture gives me a strong suggestion that the voice-dictation is triggered by holding the spacebar, which I failed to enable, which led me here. I second the opinion of @NagBoard, more options = more good! Personal preference for a language menu that NEEDS a swipe to select / ALWAYS CLOSES upon release, and lists as many dictate in [lang] buttons as I want (or Multilanguage input). Thanks |

That would be badass!
I'm also a multi keyboard layout user, before i found this issue i've posted on discord about it, hoping for a solution soon
Came here to actually say that. I agree that the current selection method of the language is very bad. Currently I'm using two languages, German and English, and I constantly need to swap back and forth.
The suggestion would be to have a simple swipe up and down on the spacebar to toggle between the languages. Or the alternative option to replace the emoji key with the language toggle key because I used the language toggle far way more often than the emoji key or I have both in one like long pressing it, give the emoji's election, sharp pressing it, toggling the language or whatever. Currently it's not really usable.
And if you hold the spacebar longer than X, then you activate the voice input, which would be really awesome.
Thank you for the great project.
Adding my +1 to these suggestions
The suggestion from @solariz would be best especially for people coming from OpenBoard keyboard : "The suggestion would be to have a simple swipe up and down on the spacebar to toggle between the languages" Thanks!
Please consider: When one uses 2 languages he wants to quickly change between them. For only this use case, long press should switch immediately to the other language.
When someone uses 2 languages he may use nonetheless the same keyboard (which he is most comfortable with). But once you selected for example the german keyboard for the german language you cannot use the german language also for the english language.
The German keyboard misses the 7 and the 9 in the first row. Instead it holds the umlauts ü and ö. But ü and ö are already in the keyboard at their correct positions available.
The same is with key a. It shows by long pressing ä, which is also already perfect available. Give it the @ sign.
I miss the sign for Euro € as a second key. I suggest d which currently holds $.
(Sorry for the long critic, which stands in no relation to the great overall quality of your keyboard app.)
Current language selection is not pleasant to use. It requires 2 clicks and moving the finger for more than half of the screen.
