Already thinking about @dhobern 's post-meeting suggestion of a 'How to' menu item that leads to lots of top-level paths into the site:
et al.
Thoughts after Kyle's important presentation this morning.
General:
I support hiding goivernance to less visible section, look at the BHL website: it is primariliy for data access, you find governance etc. if you need in BHL wiki, but you don't bump into this when you look for pages in a particular book (or occurrence data or names in case of GBIF). As Donald says, traffic should show where people go.
As discussed, the biggest breakrthrough is to have a sliced data use tab, structure details are less imporant - so horray to this move!
Specific
Hoping to capture ideas on the presentation I presented at breakfast on proposed additions and refinements to the GBIF navigation menus: https://gbif.box.com/s/tho05u06kka7n4gei8agok75kx9lzmcu
