Problems with importing (and/or having) a large number of local mappings #720

For testing purposes, I tried to import a concordance of almost 1000 mappings into my local mappings. There are some issues:

[ ] There's no progress indicator during import, even though it takes a few seconds
[ ] The local mappings section in Settings does not reflect that there are local mappings; in particular, it won't allow you to download/delete your local mappings
[ ] The mappings are not validated in any way and might be broken
[ ] Performance might worsen (there's already a warning for that)

We should fix at least the first two points and possibly look at the other two at some point.
