Mouse cursor control #21

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Placemarks and overlays can have cIick events, but the cursors on mouseovers
for both do not suggest that they are cIickable. Allow styling of cursors or
build in some kind of uniform indication to distinguish between the terrain
that can be grabbed, and something else that can be cIicked.

Additionally to this request it would be very "user-friendly" to get option to
have
control over mouse pointer though GE plugin API

I thought that the developers also need to control the tip of the pointter. That
means the API can control the icon and tip of the pointer.

Marking this as an enhancement since most of you seem to be voting for the
'programmatic cursor control' feature request.

The defect is that on Mac, the cursor is incorrect. I'll file that separately.

Yes, it would be better if changing cursor programmatically will be possible.

The option to turn the cursor icon off is also required. I have cases where a
ground
overlay acts as the cursor.

Just to clarify, there is no (non-hack) way of changing the cursor in the
plugin? Even globally, like can I say never use the hand and instead use a
crosshair from startup?

Any progress on this issue?

Programmatic cursor control is desperately needed. What is the current status?

This request is almost four years old!!!!

I need a cursor that is a crosshair so I can get lat/longs.

Many other people have made this request here and in many other groups on the
web.

What is the problem with Google????

with all the wonderous things that we can do with GE, the main interface that
the users see, the mouse pointer, is not changeable - so we have to revert to
written instructions telling them where and when they can click, grab etc.
what a shame...
