Access setting makes open groups closed #354

This has only been reported in GCcollab.

As a group owner, I want my group to be open. All my settings say that my group should be open: https://gccollab.ca/groups/profile/466838/indigenous-student-employment-opportunity-iseo-opportunite-demploi-pour-etudiants-autochtones-oeea

However non members still can't access the group. They get an error message when trying to access: image

I've tried adjusting and resaving the access settings, but this open group remains closed.

I tested in GCconnex without getting the same error: created a closed group, adjusted the settings to open, group is now successfully open.

Did the same test again in GCcollab and was unable to recreate the error with a new group.

  1. Created a closed group.
  2. Opened the group settings.
  3. Group is open now.

Fixed that specific group, looks to me like the access level didn't get updated when the group switched to open membership.
