Hello, the definition of GO:0008375 acetylglucosaminyltransferase activity is "Catalysis of the transfer of an N-acetylglucosaminyl residue from UDP-N-acetyl-glucosamine to an oligosaccharide." but the restriction to oligosaccharides makes no sense because there are enzymes that transfer Glc-NAc onto monosaccharides, as well. For an example, see MshA from M. tuberculosis which transfers Glc-NAc onto inositol phosphate. Ref.: PMID 16940050
Could you please adapt the definition, e.g., by referring to sugars instead of oligosaccharides?
