Even if a one-page layout is used, a sharing URL must be displayed in the URL bar in case the user wants to save the URL of the page. This would redirect anyone who follows the link to the page that user was on, then display the content over it - so it would make more sense to have another page that people are redirected to when they follow the link (with the sharing URL excluding the page it was generated on).
Multiple pages.
Should clicking inner links use JavaScript to display content on top of the page the user is currently on, or redirect the user to a completely separate, persistent, page?
