Description:

Visualize the sequence alignment of search results on the frontend.

Why should this be implemented?

Even though our search doesn't make use of sequence alignment techniques, it can be useful for bioinformaticians to evaluate the search results using a standard and well-known method.

Additional info This can be implemented as a standalone Streamlit component that can be packaged and distributed on PyPI. Docs here.

Some possible components that can be packaged:

React Widget (easy to integrate with Streamlit react template): https://github.com/plotly/react-msa-viewer
