Upcoming release schedule to resolve version discrepancy between release and metadata? #51

The latest version of pip, and possible several versions prior, raises an error when installing this package due to the discrepancy between the release version in the filename, and the version in the metadata pyproject.toml. image

Is there any release planned to resolve this issue? For now, having to pin to v2.6.1 which isn't ideal.

Thanks! I have removed PEP621 metadata from pyproject.toml and made a new release 2.8.0.
