Cuda not working with 2.0.0 #99

I'm using CoreAVC Linux with PS3 Mediaserver to transcode to PS3, server
uses MEncoder to do that.

OS is Ubunty Hardy 8.04 and I have Cuda SDK 2.3 installed. NVidia drivers
are 195.36.08 and GPU card is 8800 GT.

If I copy nvcuvid.dll in windows directory of Wine "Prefer Cuda
Acceleration" get ungrayed and I'm able to enable this option in CoreAVC
properties, but I still can't notice any difference in cpu-load when
transcoding so it obviously does not work at all. If I play the movie with
Mplayer with VPDAU support locally it significantly reduces cpu-load, too
bad Mencoder does not seem to support VPDAU.

I don't think there is anything I can do to help you.
Wine would need to support Cuda for there to be any chance of this working.
I do not believe the VDPAU API allows receiving the decoded frame, so I don't
think
there is any way for encoder to support it.
