This doesn't quite fit into the Tech Tree's remit, and both subjects should be more than adequately covered by the Wikipedia dump, so closing this (with some regret - they're good and important books; but there are far too many good and important books.)

Is there any other help needed with this repo in general? I love the archive program and would like to get involved with it, although it feels like I might be a little later to the party.
When it comes to preserving information and potentially rebuilding civilization, our lows can be equally if not more important than our highs. I added these two books as they detail huge, negative events to a large swath of human civilization, how we recovered from them, and how they could be avoided or minimized in the future.
