User contacted Tom Johengen stating "That data portal tool you showed me where you could add the virtual buoys, that is an actively supported tool, right? As in if I was experiencing some technical difficulties, there is someone I could contact to ask about it? I'm running into some issues with the virtual buoy function where whenever I try to change the date displayed, MTRI map will update, but the data on the virtual buoy won't update. I went to look for contact information, but the address they have listed on the GLOS website is definitely the GLERL address. Is there someone at the lab who actually works on this tool? - Christine M. Knight M.S. Conservation Biology University of Michigan, 2016 Mobile: (419) 450-3382 | chknight@umich.edu
Tom forwarded her to Tad who also added in DMAC. Kathy responded with "One thing that might not be apparent is that the MTRI maps are slightly behind real-time. For example, if I load the mtri cdom map for Superior if you look at the date, the last day we have forecast data is October 10. For Lake Michigan it is Oct. 18. So definitely let us know which lake you are looking at as well as the MTRI model and which date(s) you were expecting to find data for and we’ll see what we can figure out for you."
