Thank you for contacting us. We checked a molecular formula of 6-deoxyhexnac in the GlycanBuilder2. The molecular formula for each monosaccharide is assigned as follows: Rha -> C8H15NO5 (205.0950) Qui -> C8H15NO5 (205.0950) Fuc -> C8H15NO5 (205.0950) deoxyHexNAc -> C8H15NO4 (189.1001)
The correct molecular formula for deoxyHexNac is C8H15NO5. Thus, we are planning to release a version of deoxyHexNAc with a modified molecular formula.
Just wondering why the generic deoxyHexNAc (white bisected triangle) has a mass of 189.1001 (MONO, Und, 0,0,FreeEnd) while the specific deoxyHexNAcs (Rha, Quin, Fuc etc) have a mass of 205.0950? Thanks
