same number typed twice with single tap on lock screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Setup 1111 as your phone's lock pin and lock the screen. 
2. on the lock screen, to unlock, find "1" using explore by touch and lift 
finger to enter "1" once.
3. tap 3 times at the same spot for the rest of the pin. More than 5 "1"s are 
typed by these steps every time.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is that exactly 4 "1"s get typed. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
talkback 3.3.0 b3 r88 on nexus 4 with android JB 4.2.2

Please provide any additional information below.

Unable to reproduce. Tapping three times rapidly results in only two additional 
1's -- the first from a double tap, and the second from lift-to-type. Tapping 
three times slowly results in three additional 1's.

If you're experiencing issues outside of what I've described, please respond 
and I'll reopen this bug.

I am consistently able to reproduce this. I am using ivona TTS. Will try with 
google tts and report back.
