Ability to record games outside of hosting a server #462

If it's technically feasible, I would love the ability to record games through
Bitfighter's record interface outside of hosting a game. During tonight's party
I had recording enabled but because my server was dedicated, games were not
recorded. It would be lovely to be able to record games on dedicated servers
and hosted servers belonging to me as well as others in general.

sky_lark, can you please rephrase your issue?

Are you saying you can or can not record games as a server host (dedicated or
otherwise)?

Or, are you saying you'd like the ability for a client-side hosting. E.g. just
recording what your ship sees?

Sorry, clarified:

1. I can record games as a server host on a non-dedicated server (ie. choosing
host from the in-game menu).
2. I cannot record games as a server host on a dedicated server (launching
through Terminal, etc).
3. I cannot record games as a non-server host on other people's servers,
dedicated or otherwise.

I actually really like the current record system. It's pretty cool to be able
to switch between other ships' POV.
