This is because % is like a wildcard when querying a database (like your
answers), so putting in 20% in the answer kay is like putting in 20 (in fact
you could put in 201 20j or 20! and those would be correct because of the "%".
I would re-word questions so that the student has to type in 20 and does not
type in .20 or 20%...(....the blah blah would be (_____ percent after blah
bah?) OR ( ______ %) OR (*Please enter answer as whole number)
