Battery charging

1. Boot Android 
2. Charge the phone with USB connected to PC

Charged from 20% to 100% in 3 minutes, should take at least an hour or two.

Version: Android full release 23.08.2011 - (r167)

After disconnecting the USB, the battery charge moved down to 20% from 100% in 
a minute.

I had the same problem. Also in WM charging stopped at 40% showing the green 
"Charge full" LED.
Then I charged the battery outside the phone by applying 4.2V for a couple of 
hours. Now it seems much better! :-)

it's an indicator issue, from the battery driver. 
the algorithm for charge is based on time, but since we have a time bug issue 
specially on usb, it is computing badly: needs to be fixed.

dont worry nothing bad will happen to your battery.
and you can continue the charge even if it is showing you 100%
the charging mecanism and controls are performed by hardware, the battery 
driver is just an indicator.

i'm also having some problems with the battery indicator, when i exit an app it 
shows me that it's plugged in

I noticed that the LED status that indicates charging (orange) or charging 
ready (green) often remains on when the phone is disconnected from the charger. 
Also, the battery symbol on the display then keeps on showing it is charging 
while disconnected. Does this issue belong to this issue or is it a new one?

When will there be a fix for the false battery indicator? It's really annoying 
that it switches like from 90%-80% within two minutes and then goes back to 78% 
or someting. I use the latest update.

I had the same problem on r175. Do you found same solution??

If i good understand when led is green and charger still on the battere is 
still chargered??
