is the time really running "faster" or do you have a a time switch once after
boot ?
Are you using the release downloaded here (without any modifications ?

It's really running far too fast, i.e. jumping in huge steps. E.g. when I turn
on the phone after a few minutes standby, the time has already advanced by
several hours. I tried to fix it with different settings in System Settings =>
Date and Time but was not able to get it under control reliably. Sometimes it
stopped running ahead, sometimes not. I keep experimenting...

Yes, I'm using r169 as downloaded from this site. No modifications.

After some experimenting I found a dependency: It has to do with the WinMo BT
setting before booting Android (I have to correct my statement above - sorry!):
1. When BT is turned on in WinMo and turned off in Android, then after booting
r169 the clock runs crazy.
2. When BT is turned off in WinMo, or BT turned ON in Android, then after
booting r169 the clock runs normal.
When the clock runs crazy in Android then, after turning on BT, it slows down
to normal.
Additional observation:
1. It is the SW clock that jumps ahead in big leaps, not the HW clock, because
everytime after reboot the clock shows the correct time regardless what Android
showed before.
2. The jump happens only while the phone is in stby or when turned on from
stdby. You cannot see it by watching the screen while it is on. Sometimes, then
you turn on the phone from stdbyt, then two clocks (one in status bar and on in
the display lock slider) show different time. The title bar clock jumped
further ahead.
Hope this helps. I guess priority and may even become obsolete if there will be
a ROM version for the Photon eventually.

same with my experience r169 release has a problem with the time it changes
every time i press the power button but installing the time, installing the
clock sync will fix some of it but when your not connected to the wifi it mess
up the messages you will receive and even if your connected to the wifi if the
message arrive the time will not sync and the arrangement of your message are
mix up.
