Automatic Install / Update not Working

I'll start off by saying "thanks" ... really useful plugin with EXTREMELY good 
documentation :-)

Automatic update (and install) seems to be failing for me. Not sure if this is 
a general problem or just aimed at me personally, so I thought I'd report it 
just in case.

WP version 3.3.2
CCTM version 0.9.5.11-pl, trying to upgrage to v. 0.9.5.13-pl (not sure why I'm 
not on .... .12-pl - perhaps you released a slightly modified version before I 
got round to trying to upgrade!?)

The automatic update facility is failing to complete.  Just sticks on an admin 
screen saying:-

"  Downloading update from 
http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/custom-content-type-manager.0.9.5.13.zip��
� "

.... twice ... i.e. the same line is repeated immediately afterwards. I'm 
fairly sure the updated files are being downloaded - pretty sure I've seen it 
as a 'temp' file on my server, but I can't now find it again to advise / 
confirm the location. Have tried de-activating all of the other plugins, but 
the result is the same.

I also tried to install CCTM on another site I'm building (approx 1 - 2 weeks 
ago), and it failed to install on the 'automatic' route. I uploaded it via FTP 
and it works fine, though to be honest I can't remember if this was a newly 
downloaded and unzipped version from WP or if I just used a copy of my local 
version from the first site. When I (successfully) installed it on site 1 a few 
weeks ago, it was using WP 3.3.1. When I tried to instal it on site 2 it was 
using WP3.3.2 - perhaps that's where the issue lies?

Will 'upgrade' using FTP (haven't tried yet, but on previous experience will no 
doubt solve the 'problem'.

What steps will reproduce the problem? (Be specific enough so that someone
else can make the plugin fail for themselves. Remember: if the issue can't
be fixed if it can't be reproduced!)

Failed to complete, just stuck at the message described above. (Sorry, I 
'waffled', should have completed this first!)

Sorry, I have to fix some stuff here because WP pulled the plugin for 0.9.5.12 
and that sorta trainwrecked everything.  This is probably related to WordPress' 
heavy-handed tactics.  I'll have to try to sort this out and release 0.9.5.14.  
Sorry for the trouble... this is all because one of my javascript files 
retained a "Creative Common License" header.

Magic, thanks everso.

I've got everything working through download / unzip / upload right now, so
I'll wait till the next time I need to upgrade and hopefully it'll work in
the usual hitch free way! :-]
