Action grouping feature in the k6 recorder #64

Feature description

From our community slack:

There is 1 feature that is missing for us: In the k6 recorder, to have “action grouping” meaning I can hit a hotkey / button to start, make some requests, then hit again to stop, and those requests will be grouped.

How does this help you?

It might sound niche, but actually, that's how you would measure actions/transactions accurately.

For example, if I have a flow where I hit search and wait for results, then click another page and wait for load, then click another button and wait for a response, these are 3 actions, but clicking another page and waiting for several APIs to load is multiple calls, which I want to group together and time all together to measure the time for the transaction.

As I come from a sass company, this is how our customers measure us, and it's a good feature to have, right on the recorder. (Even if say, you make it available only on the k6 cloud)

How often do you come across needing a feature like this?
