I am trailing someone. There is no indication on the screen who I am trailing.

Ah that's because you're using the view in minecraft where all overlays is gone...or they changed the actionbar apis and what we're using is no longer correct. Because there used to be something on the bottom of the screen that would display who/what is being shown.
