Possible solutions:

LiPo alarms (could maybe fit under top layer) - requires connector to split off
Measurement and shutdown by external chip - low voltage disconnect (LVD)
Measurement and shutdown by atmega

Motors' power could be switched by a relay. In that case we could use a LiPo alarm that would send a signal to cut off the power to motors. (Con: size of relays)
