figure issues: Journal of Biogeography #563

can you please just open this article in GGI and check out the figures? It is very odd, that I can't mark them as figures but only as graphics, whilst in its html version, they have perfect figures that pop up?

The one on page 3 (Figure 1) should behave as you are used to - because it's the only bitmap image in the whole article. All the other figures are PDF native vector graphics, which is what we model as graphics in IMF.

You can copy and export such graphics just the same, only that you (a) can specify the rendering resolution (on bitmap export) and (b) also have the option to export them as SVGs. In that sense, graphics are as good as images, and then some. What's the problem?
