Ignores proxy setting on kitkat #52

cyanogenmod 11.0 20140320. Orbot running, privoxy running, strace shows Orweb is not even connecting to privoxy process. Orweb has default config (proxy 127.0.0.1:8118).

When manually connecting with telnet to 127.0.0.1:8118, tor connection works OK.

Which version of Orweb are you using? This problems has fixed awhile ago.

latest from google play.

orweb doesn't seem to have a feature to show version number, but I managed to get it with Titanium Backup: it is v0.5.2.

It is also available in Android->Settings->Apps etc

Well, seems like an issue with CyanogenMod, as Orweb works in stock KitKat and does not ignore proxy settings.

Since you are using Cyanogen, why not use Orbot transparent proxying feature?

So my cyanogenmod tells setting proxy settings succeeded when it did not? That's pretty lame. But transparent proxying works.
