There could be a possibility to clear and view the latest application log records.

Suggestion for implementation in design :

( Within the marking I suggest there is the option to clean and view the last recorded logs )

You can already pretty easily clear the log by quitting and relaunching the app.
I'm not sure what you meant viewing the latest log, that is done by scrolling?
