Hi, Is there a way to separate the case by its nature of suit? For example personal injury, Intellectual property, etc.

There isn't any general purpose metadata available for that. You might be able to find detectable text for it in North Carolina cases, where the headnotes are unredacted, or even train a general purpose classifier based on those cases.
