joining a room doesn't close search + add room to list

Steps To Reproduce:

• ctrl+o to open joinable room search
• enter to join a room
• glycerin just kind of sits there
• escape to close search
• the room you just joined doesn't appear in the chats selector

You can ctrl+r to refresh and it appears, but this is suboptimal.
